Eligibility

 

Stream I – Primary Schools 

This stream is opened for full time students of Hong Kong primary school (P. 1- P. 6,academic year from 2012-2013).  The projects can be conducted by an individual or a group of no more than four students who come from the same primary school. Each entrant/ group requires the support of signature from the teacher-in-charge of ICT or school principal.Applicants may be invited to join an ICT seminar/ workshop where they will receive basic trainings and exposures in ICT innovation and digital lifestyle.  Each entrant/ group will submit two dimensional or three dimensional arts or digital arts for entering the category’s competition.

 

Stream II – Secondary Schools

This stream is opened for full time students of Hong Kong secondary school (F.1 - F.6, academic year from 2012-2013).  The projects can be conducted by an individual or a group of no more than four students who come from the same secondary school. Each individual applicant/ group requires the support of signature from the teacher-in-charge of ICT or school principal. Applicants may be invited to join an ICT seminar/ workshop where they will receive basic trainings and exposures in ICT research and innovation. Each entrant/ group will submit an essay for entering the category’s competition.

Stream III – College & Undergraduates 

This stream is opened for local registered tertiary institution students, including theapplicants who are graduates in the academic year of 2011-2012.  The projects can beconducted by an individual or a group of no more than six students.  The submitted projects MUST be 100% developed and supervised, from start to end, under the tertiary institutes in Hong Kong, including universities and tertiary institutions.  It should also be conducted for the purpose of an approved course, which would normally valid for one whole academic year to be offered by a selected tertiary institution.  Apart from that, the project must be supervised by at least one staff of tertiary institution in the course of its development.

Stream IV – Postgraduates & Open 

For the Postgraduates sub-stream, the project should be conducted under the programme of master degree and doctorate of Hong Kong (in the academic year of 2011-2012).  The number of applicants per each participated group should not be more than SIX people.  The submitted project MUST be 100% developed and supervised, from start to end, under the tertiary institutes in Hong Kong. It should also be conducted for the purpose of an approved course, which would normally valid for one whole academic year to be offered by a selected tertiary institution.  Apart from that, the project must be supervised by at least one staff of tertiary institution in the course of its development.

For the Open sub-stream, the project should be conducted by any individual, group formed by not more than SIX people from general public (except for Stream I ,II , III & the Postgraduates sub stream) or corporation can submit a research paper.
